Carmen wrote a story when she was 10 years old, in which she narrated the adventures of Soye, a boy her own age.
Soye had lost his dog and Carmen described his search and all the adventures he experienced along the way, doing everything for a dog (por un perro), which became the title of her story.
Forty-two years later, Carmen rediscovered her story, illustrated and written by the little girl she once was. She reconnected with that girl, who seemed to have waited patiently all those years and realized that no one but she and that girl would understand "Por un Perro" when they were no longer around. So, in a pact with her future and her past, she decided to let it go.
Carmen is Jorge's mother and, in an almost incomprehensible act of generosity, she got rid of everything that someone would have to decipher when she was no longer here.
One day she told us the story, her story and Soye's, and we materialized it in the Por Un Perro Necklace that bears its name and reminds us of everything we would do for a dog.
